Donations

If you'd like to donate toward the operating costs of BuffyGuide.com, your help will be greatly appreciated! Every little bit helps!

[ Monthly Donations ]
One-Time Donations: [ PayPal - Amazon - Mail ]

There are a few ways that you can donate, outlined below. Use the links above to go straight to one section, or just scroll down through the page.

---

Monthly Donations

If you'd like, you can make a donation automatically each month. If you have a Visa or Mastercard credit card, or if you have an American bank account, you can sign up with PayPal to have the amount of your choice charged monthly. (You can cancel at any time if you should need or desire to do so.)

How it works:

  • Choose the amount you'd like to donate per month (just click the button labeled with the amount you choose).
  • You'll be taken to PayPal's secure site, where PayPal will walk you through the quick and easy process. Basically, you'll supply your PayPal username and password (or sign up for an account), authorize the transaction, and you're done.
  • If you live in the US, you'll be able to sign up for a PayPal account during the donation process. If you live outside the US, you'll have to sign up separately — click here to register your PayPal account, and then come back. (If you have an account with PayPal already, then disregard this step.)

One-Time Donations

You can make a one-time donation of any amount. It's one-time in the sense that you're just making a single donation right now, with no monthly charges. You can, of course, come back any time you wish and make another donation. There are a few methods via which you can donate, outlined below.

PayPal

Another preferred method of donation is via PayPal. This method can be used if you have a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express), or if you have an US checking account. PayPal accepts members from the US and these countries.

How it works:

  • Choose the amount you'd like to donate (just click the button labeled with the amount you choose). Or click the "Your Choice" button to donate any amount you choose ($5.00, $35.00 - whatever you want).

Amazon Honor System

You can use the Amazon Honor System to donate with a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Diners Club, or JCB). It should be noted that Amazon takes a larger processing fee from the donation (15% vs. PayPal's 3%), so a little less of your donation will actually go to the site. Nonetheless, your donation will still be very helpful, so if you prefer this method, feel free to use it!

How it works:

  • Click the blue "Click to Pay" button on the banner below.
  • You'll be taken to Amazon's site. On the right, you'll see a box wherein you can designate the amount you'd like to donate. You'll then click "Pay Now" to login and choose a credit card. The payment transaction will be processed securely.
  • If you don't already have an Amazon.com account, you'll need to go there and register an account first.

Old Fashioned Mail

If you'd like, you can send a donation the old-fashioned way, via the postal system. Please contact me and I will give you an address to send it to!

What you can send:

  • U.S. money order (from the Post Office or your bank), made out to Jamie Arnold (sorry, but I can't cash anything made out to BuffyGuide or the like)

  • International money order in US dollars, made out to the same

  • Personal checks from a U.S. bank, made out to the same

  • Cash in US dollars, though it does have its risks being sent through mail. At least make sure it's not visible through the envelope (put it in a card, for example).

What you can't send:

  • A foreign check or money order (i.e. in any currency other than US dollars) — the fees for cashing it will often be more than the value of the money.
